German producer Comfort Fit releases the five-track "Private Primate" EP following his critically acclaimed long-play album(s) at Tokyo Dawn records. However, the tone has shifted a bit here. Less melodies more drums, less sun more twilight. The dark side of Comfort Fit. Take a trip!

"Private Primate" is accompanied by a limited 7" vinyl single featuring lead track "Cable Vamp" (as heard on XLR8R) and a Shlohmo remix on the flip. Furthermore, there is Mr. Dibiase, KenLo Craqnuques, DZA and Saine remixes with the digital edition of "Private Primate". Eventually future has arrived.

Infamous MPC wizard fLako and Tokyo Dawns’ Portformat contribute remixes, as well as our own Pixelord and Japanese producer ichiro_ (bonus FREE DOWNLOAD).

<![CDATA[ebctp002 / DZA - Five-Finger Discount]]> http://error-broadcast.com/index.php/tapes/show/release/ebctp002

For the producer, a beat tape functions like a black book for the graffiti writer: he develops his skills, he adventures himself to unknown artistic territory. The beat juggler compiles ideas, drafts and loops in a beat tape. Do not expect full-grown songs. The beauty of a beat tape lies in the incomplete.

Fresh off the London Red Bull Music Academy Moscow-based beat elevator DZA is about to make a lot of faces fall in 2010. DZA is central to the How2make crew which ties the loose ends of bass music in Moscow, organises parties and pushes Russian talents. He is the networking type with his hands and heads in different projects at the same time.
So is the graphical identity of DZA, so is his music. Quick, dirty and raw. His 16-track beat tape Five-Finger Discount hijacks you into his kinderzimmer wherein sticker-laden efx pedals render homage to the MPC and DZA is lost behind the screen of his macbook. This tape has detailed textures and beats full of minutiae as well as the heavy bangers.

Five-Finger Discount gives you an idea what DZA is capable of.
Take cover, and don’t sleep!

<![CDATA[ebc006 / B-Ju - Dog Day EP]]> http://error-broadcast.com/index.php/catalog/show/release/ebc006

"Dog Day" is the debut EP by German turntablist and award-winning producer B-Ju. After two singles for Equinox Records and Error Broadcast, the kid refines his style with these five originals. Between funky Boom-Bap, soulful sampling and groggy Rap grooves, B-Ju's "Dog Day EP" sounds equally classic and contemporary.

Watch out for the strictly limited 7" vinyl single featuring treats by 1000names (Black Acre) and Herrmutt Lobby (Eat Concrete). Digitally, Ghostly recording artist Mux Mool and our very own Benny B. Blonco put B-Ju through the hooks (bonus DOWNLOAD).

<![CDATA[ebc005 / KenLo Craqnuques - Cailloux Germés]]> http://error-broadcast.com/index.php/catalog/show/release/ebc005

From across the big waters we are delighted to welcome KenLo Craqnuques in the bosom of the Error Broadcast family. This Africa-born, Montreal-based beat conductor blessed the scene with five beat tapes and just recently debuted under his all-digital moniker Qwerty Musique. He has two tapes with fellow producer Vlooper and kicks a rhyme every once a while. “Cailloux Germés” is the first official KenLo Craqnuques release.

Stand out amongst the flood of new producers, KenLo Craqnuques manages to inject a huge amount of classic Soul and Boom Bap Rap into his hypermodern beats. His songs breathe the history of Black Music without looking back. What has been true ever since “Noir” is eventually obvious on “Cailloux Germés”: the Craqnuques music pushes the borders of 21. Century beat music. Real big.

<![CDATA[ebc004rmx / Various Artists - Lucid Freaks pt. 2 - The Remixes]]> http://error-broadcast.com/index.php/catalog/show/release/ebc004rmx

Hot on the heels of Pixelord's "Lucid Freaks pt. 1" comes this eleven-track remix compilation. "Lucid Freaks pt. 2 - The Remixes" features a couple of Russia's hottest producers, including RBMA -participant DZA, Demokracy, OL and Miracle Libido (the latter two as known from their Monday Jazz tape). The Lord himself reworked a tune exclusively for this record.

From the US, we got AshTreJinkins and Chocolate Girl with their bass-heavy interpretations of Steppa styles. Netherland knob twiddlers Jameszoo and Coco Bryce re-crunk the Pixelord funk, and finally Austria-based producer Abby Lee Tee is dropping in for a mix. One hell of a line-up, you bet. Art comes from Michael Dotson, once again.

<![CDATA[ebc004 / Pixelord - Lucid Freaks pt. 1]]> http://error-broadcast.com/index.php/catalog/show/release/ebc004

The Pixelord is Alexey Devyanin. He's a Moscow-based veteran of experimental music, best-known for his Gultskra Artikler moniker. When we got to know that his new project is about BEATS, it was instantly clear that is has to be groundbreaking great.

His debut four-track EP "Lucid Freaks" brings forth a mixture of spliffed-out 8bit riddims, stumbling Hip Hop beats and a pinch of Euro Dance glam. However unique, the weirdo plastic Pop of Glasgow's Hudson Mohawke is echoed in his tunes as well as bass-driven digital Reggae, Jahtari-style. The artwork of L.A. painter Michael Dotson suits the Pixelord music perfectly.

Check out Lucid Freaks pt. 2 - The Remixes (out now)

<![CDATA[ebc003 / Shlohmo - Shlo-Fi EP]]> http://error-broadcast.com/index.php/catalog/show/release/ebc003

From across the misty hills of San Francisco, we welcome kid Shlohmo with his long-awaited Shlo-Fi EP for release at Error Broadcast. His instant-classic Shlomoshun EP made faces fall earlier this year but this one will boost the cat to a whole new level.

19-years old Shlohmo delivers the soundtrack for the LA aftershow party. His tracks swarm from dirty textures, strange sounds and obscured samples. It’s not Hip Hop what you hear, but the echoes are clearly there: under the blanket the beats are alive and kicking, the compression is awful (as we love it) and from the way Shlohmo arranges his tracks, it is clear what this kid listens to at night.

Solanaceous and surreal music from the point Burial and Fly Lo let off.

"Laufer is an unabashed disciple of the Los Angeles beat scene (which) has birthed Flying Lotus, Daedelus, Nosaj Thing, and, now, Shlohmo." SF Weekly
